The Subaru Outback continued the car’s ‘crossover’ legacy by combining the wagon style along with the versatility of an SUV. The all-new outback features Subaru’s award-winning preventive safety system, EyeSight, an additional pair of watchful digital eyes.
Exterior of the Subaru Outback
The most noticeable change of the new Outback is the grille and the LED headlights. Tailored from the adventure-loving spirit of the previous generations, the outback is wrapped with robust body panels, sturdy bumper guards and also a pair of roof rails with retractable crossbars. The recognisable ruggedness can be noticed through the plastic cladding around the wheel arches.
Interior of the Subaru Outback
At first glance of the interior of the Outback, you will notice the large vertical-oriented 11.6-inch touchscreen display, where most of the car’s functions are accessed. Compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the high-definition LCD display makes enjoying in-car entertainment easier than ever.
The car seats are wrapped with plush Nappa leather to provide ultimate comfort for the driver and the riders. The wagon contains 522 litres of boot space and expandable to 1726 litres when the rear seats are folded down.
Besides that, the Outback allows you to enjoy the Harman Kardon premium audio system with 11 speakers throughout the vehicle.
Performance of the Subaru Outback
Under the hood of the Outback lies a 2.5 litres direct fuel injection engine which puts out 188 horsepower and 245Nm of torque.
The EyeSight allows a more confident drive as the Pre-Collision Braking system covers more traffic scenarios than ever. EyeSight has two stereo cameras mounted on each side of the rear mirror. In total EyeSight uses six technologies to maximise safety, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Lead Vehicle Start Alert.
The new Subaru Outback comes with a wide array of other safety features. These include steering responsive headlights, adaptive driving beam, Subaru Rear Vehicle Detection, Reverse Automatic Braking, Post-collision Brake control and 8 airbags.
The all-new 2021 Subaru Outback 2.5i-T EyeSight (A) is available at $165,800. It is now available to order and will be showcased at the Subaru Leng Kee showroom from 7 April 2021.
